NEMBC Youth Conference

2013 has flown  by in a flash!

There is never a dull moment in the SYN Media Learning department and last week’s work included a quick trip to Brisbane for the National Ethnic & Multicultural Broadcasters’ Council Youth and National Conferences.

At this year’s NEMBC Youth Media (29 November) & National Conference (30 November), 5 eChamps were trained to develop their online media skills and extend their broadcasting capacity.  The training included online preparation and a full day of training in Brisbane before the conferences.  And thank goodness for the eChamps, it would have been impossible to absorb all that was on offer over the two days without their help.

The echamps kept us up-to-date with the online coverage of the conference sessions, interviews with conference delegates and the occasional food pic!.

I’ve included an outline of the Youth Media Conference to give you an idea of  the day. Check out the NEMBC website for more.

Keynote Speaker: Emily Foster, 17 year old singer/songwriter from Groote Eylandt in the Gulf of Carpentaria.
